        Fourth son, of the parish of Yspytty-Ievan, Denbighshire. He was probably the first of the family to move to Merionethshire, settling on a large farm, on the Rhiwlas estate, near Bala, belonging to the Price family, who had also migrated from Yspytty-Ievan. The registry of the burial of Robert Lewis of Llandderfel, is as follows, `Robert Lowice, 14th February, Septuo, 1645.`

        hire is an eastern county, bordering on England. But the boundary is not vertical, and Robert's move from Ysbyty Ifan (modern spelling) in Denbighshire to Rhiwlas in Merionethshire was about 8 miles in a SE direction. These places are at the SE fringe of Snowdonia: Ysbyty Ifan (now in Conwy County Borough) is 5 miles north of the lake Llyn Celyn, and Rhiwlas (now in Gwynedd) is near Bala.
        Robert was born in 1555. He passed away in 1637.
